Carrot, Orange & Lime Juice

Fresh juice is a wonderful way to incorporate into your diet some of your 7+a day fruit and vegetable requirements (you read that right. 5+ a day is so last year!)  This fresh Carrot, Orange & Lime juice is a breeze to make…and the best part is, you can still make it without a juicer! All of the ingredients can be mixed in a high-powered blender (like a Vitamix or Nutribullet) and then strained through a muslin cloth or left as is if you don’t mind a bit of pulp action! Or, if you have a juicer, by all means, juice away! 

Vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free

Servings: 1

Ingredients:

1 large carrot (peeled)

2 oranges (peeled)

1-2 limes, squeezed

1 cup of water

Directions:

  1. If using a blender, place all ingredients in the blender and process on high speed until smooth. If using a juicer, put all ingredients into the juicer as per the instructions for your particular juicer. 
  2. If you’re using a blender, and you don’t want the pulp in your juice, then you can line a fine mesh strainer with a muslin cloth (sometimes known as a cheesecloth). Pour the juice into the lined strainer. Then, gather up the sides of the cheesecloth to ensure that all the juice and pulp are inside. Then, twist and squeeze the cloth to extract the juice into a glass and leave the pulp in the cheesecloth. Serve the juice as is, or on ice and discard the pulp. 
  3. Enjoy!
