Cleaning your garden tools

Want your gardening tools to last longer? By keeping your garden tools clean you will not only prolong their life but also help stop the spread of disease. DYC white vinegar will remove rust as well as kill fungal diseases.

Remember to rinse tools clean after each use.

Ingredients:

Water

Bucket

DYC White Vinegar

Vegetable Oil

Rag

Directions:

  1. Remove any loose dirt from your tools. Spray with garden hose to remove the remaining dirt.
  2. If your tools are rusty. Place items in a container. Cover completely with DYC White Vinegar. Leave overnight. Wash off the vinegar with clean water. Lightly scrub off the rust with a soft brush.
  3. If your tools have no rust, clean them with a rag soaked in DYC White Vinegar to rid your tool of any diseases.
  4. Wipe the tools over with vegetable oil to protect them from rust.
