How To Clean The Grease Off Your BBQ

Family Health Diary

Summer BBQs are a Kiwi rite of passage. But to keep your grill in top shape, regular cleaning is essential. Discover how to remove grease and germs without all the faff using a common household staple.

Ingredients:

1 Cup DYC White Vinegar

Aluminium Foil

Rice Bran Oil

Directions:

  1. Spray the cooking surface with vinegar. Allow to sit for 10 minutes. Note its OK to spray onto a warm, but not hot cooking surface (you don’t want to burn yourself)
  2. Scrunch up some aluminium foil and rub over the cooking surface to remove built up residue. You may want to wipe away any excess grime with a paper towel. Season cleaned cooking surfaces with rice bran oil.
