Bladder weakness affects four in 10 men over the age of 45, but the good news is it can be managed.

Bladder weakness, also known as incontinence, describes the involuntary loss of urine from the bladder. Common among women, especially after childbirth or menopause, it is also a problem for growing numbers of men.

WHAT CAUSES INCONTINENCE?
Incontinence is not a disease in itself, but rather a symptom or result of another underlying condition.

A damaged sphincter – the circular muscle that controls the flow of urine out of the bladder – is usually to blame.

In men, this is often damaged as a result of prostate surgery.

Other causes include nervous system disorders or injury (Parkinson’s disease,
stroke or spinal cord injury), chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, certain birth defects, some medications, nutritional deficiencies, obstructed urination and some surgical procedures.

MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS IS ESSENTIAL
Early and accurate diagnosis is essential for effectively treating or managing bladder control problems.

In many cases incontinence can be cured and it can always be managed.

SYMPTOMS OF MODERATE BLADDER WEAKNESS
  • Moderate urine loss especially when laughing, coughing, sneezing, straining or exercising.
  • Temporary or long-term loss of bladder control following surgery.
  • Inability to prevent urine leakage when you get the urge to urinate.
  • Frequent leakage, usually of small amounts.
  • Often dry at night.

They are specifically designed for men with a contoured cup-like shape for secure fit and absorbency.

Best of all, the ultra-thin design means no one will know you’re wearing them.
