The air you breathe is not as fresh as you think – but that doesn’t have to be the case inside your own home.

You can’t always control the air you breathe – harmful dust, pollutants and allergens are always present – but you can control the air in your own home. In households where asthma or allergy is an issue, fresh purified air can make a difference to everyday health.

ASTHMA AND THE HOME
One in four Kiwi kids suffer from asthma, with the problem often amplified by damp and dusty homes. Airtight modern housing, designed to keep
heat in and water out, has actually made it harder for homes to ‘breathe’ or replace stale air, creating damper and more toxic living environments.

HRV FOR A HEALTHIER HOME
The HRV whole home ventilation system can rid your home of stale air, dust, pollen and pollutants.

By introducing fresh purified air into your home, a positive pressure is created, expelling dust and moisture-laden air, reducing condensation and the subsequent growth of mould and mildew.

HRV ventilation: Small vents in the ceiling allow purified air into your home (red arrows), forcing out the old stale air through the natural gaps, cracks and seals in the house (blue arrows).

HOW IT WORKS
The HRV whole home ventilation system takes outside air and mixes it with
the naturally warmer, drier air in your roof cavity.
The air then passes through an F6 hospital-grade deep pleat filter before flowing through your home and purifying the air up to twice an hour.
Using less electricity than an average light bulb, it’s the energy-efficient way to dehumidify your home all year round, so that you and your family can
breathe easy.

HRV BENEFITS
HRV is approved by the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation’s Sensitive Choice Programme as a product that may benefit asthma and allergy sufferers. It manages to clean the air and dry your home, resulting in…
  • Less visible mould and windowsill damage
  • Less mould on personal belongings and in wardrobes
  • Fewer dust mites and dust mite droppings (which thrive in damp environments)
  • Harmonised room temperatures throughout the home.
