Did you know the largest bodily organ is your skin? And the skin you wear every day can become dry, compromised, scaly and flaky just from being exposed to the elements.

Your skin is constantly subject to the irritating effects of heat, wind, dryness and pollution. Then there’s the added effect of chemical irritants found in detergents and many skincare products.

Choosing a daily cleanser and moisturiser to restore compromised skin and maintain healthy skin, can be a mission. But it doesn’t have to be.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Start by checking ingredients – products that are fragrance-free, soap-free,
non-irritating, and non-comedogenic (ie. won’t block the pores).

Look for a cleanser that helps restore the skin’s barrier function. And choose one that is pH balanced (around 7.0) to complement the acidic pH of the skin, which is 5.5 to 6.0. A pH higher than 7.5 could actually disrupt the ‘acid mantle’.

STUDIES SHOW EFFECTIVENESS
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is just that – gentle. In a 21-day Cumulative Irritancy Study,* it was found to be the least irritating cleanser when compared to other leading brands. Unlike many other cleansers, Cetaphil is designed to cleanse, moisturise and restore your skin’s pH balance. It gets rid of the nasties leaving behind the goodies – your skin’s protective natural softeners.

New Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion is designed to moisturise and restore dry, sensitive skin. With its Epidermal Replenishing Complex (ERC5) – a unique combination of five moisturising ingredients – it is clinically shown to hydrate, restore healthy skin function and protect against moisture loss, for a full 24 hours after a single application.*

Compromised skin needs a gentle approach

FOLLOW DERMATOLOGIST RECOMMENDATIONS
Not all moisturisers are the same, so choose dermatologist-recommended products, which are usually both gentle and hydrating. Cetaphil is one of the most highly researched and recommended skincare ranges with products that are hypoallergenic and fragrance-free.

Cetaphil is suitable for all skin types including dry, sensitive skin and infant skin.

CETAPHIL LEAVES OUT THE SKIN IRRITANTS
Cetaphil products are soap-free. Focusing on what to leave out of their products, as much as what to put in, Cetaphil has to be a good choice for peace of mind and healthy skin.
