When colds and flu strike the family, you just want fast, effective relief. For effective medicines you can trust, you need to head to your pharmacy.

To help keep things simple, whether it’s you or the kids who need relief, remember the name Dimetapp, only available from pharmacies.

Best known for its proven and trusted range of children’s formulas, Dimetapp can provide fast and effective relief for adults too, making it the one-stop solution for the family’s cough, cold and flu needs.

DIMETAPP FOR ADULTS
Dimetapp’s adult formulations address major cold and flu symptoms, including cough.

The daytime/nightime liquid capsules provide relief for a full 24 hours, helping you get a good night’s sleep, but when taken as directed, not making you drowsy during the day.

DIMETAPP FOR CHILDREN
Taste is a big factor with children’s medicines. If they don’t like the taste, they won’t take it. Dimetapp’s children’s formulations not only taste great, but they’re also sugar-free and colour-free. The children’s elixir helps relieve both coughs and colds helping the kids (and you) get a good night’s sleep.

IS IT COLD OR FLU?
It can be hard to tell the difference between a cold and flu, but there are key differences.

The common cold is a viral infection of the nose, throat and nasal sinuses characterised by inflammation, discharge and nasal congestion.

Symptoms to look for include a sore throat, runny nose, post-nasal drip, watery eyes, nasal stuffiness and a cough.

A child with a cold may have a slight fever, but fever with a cold is unusual in adults.1

The flu is a viral infection of the air passages and lungs, caused by a different set of viruses to a cold.

In addition to symptoms of a cold, a person suffering from the flu will also have muscular aches and pains, followed by a sudden onset of chills and fever developing over a 24-hour period.

A severe headache is common, followed by a sore throat, a dry cough, sore or inflamed eyes and a general feeling of listlessness. Nausea and vomiting may occur in children.1
